Cut through the nails that are holding the old siding in place. Keep prying until the head rises from wood or other surfaces. Take your hammer and find out the nail you want to remove. Place the straight slots of a cat s paw tool to the head of each siding nail.

An oscillating tool with a metal cutting blade works great for this or you can use a mini hacksaw with the blade extended beyond the end of the holder.
