Aluminum siding is durable and you don t have to worry about scrubbing too hard. Set power washer to the lowest setting available. Make sure to use the power washer on the lowest setting it has. Water and electricity don t mix.

Try using a toothbrush to scrub the baking soda off and rinse with water. They re harsh chemicals that give off some pretty intense fumes so suit up with rubber gloves goggles and a respirator. Allow time for it to set and then scrub off. Mix 1 3 of a cup of laundry soap and 6 gallons of water.

Apply to the stains and scrub with a soft bristled brush. It will definitely remove the dirt but the paint as well. When siding begins to look dull and lifeless oxidation is the culprit. Running a finger along the siding will come away with a powdery film that needs scrubbed away.

Clean the surface of the aluminum siding with a water sprayer. Use the water hose to rinse the area after you have finished cleaning the siding. Use your pressure washer to get to all the cracks and crevices you could not reach with the brush. Mix baking soda with water until it is thick enough to spread on the metal.

Using too much pressure can dent your steel siding or damage the paint. Rub the siding hard and wash away as much rust as possible. Chemicals you might use on wood or vinyl siding can cause damage to steel. Siding gives the home individual personality and provides the interior protection from the elements.

Fill a bucket with water and squirt in a decent amount of dish soap. Use a stiff brush and a bucket of soapy water to clean the stained area of the aluminum siding. Make a paste using baking soda. The goal in cleaning the metal siding is not only to remove dirt and grime but to remove all the chalky oxidation wax or grease that may be on the surface so the coating can adhere properly.

Put those away and simply make up a solution of 1 3 cup liquid laundry detergent and 6 gallons of water to use with the pressure washer. Stir it up until a lather will form and then soak your brush in the mixture of soap and water until it fills up thoroughly. You can do a great deal to remove rust stains from your aluminum siding with ordinary dish soap and water. Rinse immediately and thoroughly after washing with fresh water.
